Firefighters in **Pacific Palisades** are facing challenges as **fire hydrants run dry**, affecting their firefighting capabilities.
According to **Janisse Quiñones**, CEO of the LA Department of Water and Power, all three million-gallon **water tanks** in the area had emptied by 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
The agency is working to supply more water, but they are struggling to refill tanks promptly, necessitating **water conservation** among residents.
High winds and poor visibility have also obstructed aerial firefighting efforts, although water drops resumed on **Wednesday**.
This situation mirrors past disasters, such as the **2023 Lahaina fire** in Hawaii, where fire hydrants also proved ineffective amidst frantic firefighting efforts.
