Organizers claim they were informed that a planned protest on Saturday could seriously disturb **Shabbat services** at a nearby synagogue.
**Ben Jamal**, director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), emphasized that Saturday is traditionally when pro-Palestine demonstrations occur.
The police justified their position, citing the need to balance the rights of protesters with the community's right to avoid disruption.
The PSC is slated to march on **January 18** against what they see as **pro-Israel bias** in BBC coverage, arguing that the route would not disrupt synagogue activities.
