A well-known Chinese actor, Wang Xing, recently rescued from a suspected online scam operation in Myanmar, has revealed disturbing details about his experience of human trafficking. Authorities discovered Wang near the Thai border after he had been reported missing following his arrival in Thailand.

According to reports from India Times, Wang was initially lured to the region under the false promise of a casting job with a reputable Thai entertainment company. However, upon his arrival, he was forcibly taken into Myanmar and compelled to work in a fraudulent call center aimed at scamming Chinese individuals.

Wang's ordeal began drawing attention after his family reached out to the Chinese Embassy in Thailand following his abrupt disappearance. Thai authorities launched a search and eventually located Wang in Myanmar, subsequently bringing him back to Thailand for further questioning. Images released by the police depicted Wang with a shaved head, indicating the traumatic conditions he endured.

Senior Inspector General Thatchai Pitaneelaboot confirmed that an examination of chat logs on Wang’s phone substantiated his claims, noting that he reported around 50 other individuals at the same location, most of whom were also victims of trafficking and had their heads shaved.
