Mahindra & Mahindra has launched a new manufacturing facility at the Chakan plant specifically designed for electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e.
This facility is part of a broader Rs 16,000 crore investment strategy for EVs from FY22 to FY27, with Rs 4,500 crore dedicated to EV development.
The 88,000 m² hub includes over 1,000 robots and uses AI-powered systems and Industry 4.0 technologies for enhanced manufacturing.
Each SUV model offers up to 682 km range and incorporates advanced safety features from extensive testing.
