A Birmingham-based rapper, Omar Abdirizak, known as Twista Cheese, has been convicted of posting a "menacing" video aimed at Tommy Robinson.
The video, which contained references to artillery and included a gun gesture while shouting "pow, pow, pow", received over 2 million views.
Despite pleading not guilty, Abdirizak was found guilty after a two-hour trial under the Communications Act 2003, with the prosecutor arguing it went beyond free speech.
The video was posted amidst rising tensions and was deemed to likely cause public apprehension of serious violence.
Abdirizak is on conditional bail pending sentencing scheduled for February 12, also facing charges for cannabis possession and a racially aggravated public order offense.
