A local court has set **March 5** for the next hearing in the dispute regarding the **Shahi Jama Masjid** and its survey.
Advocate **Shakil Ahmad Wari** confirmed that the **Supreme Court** has barred lower courts from accepting new suits for worship site surveys until further notice.
The **Hindu side** claims the mosque was built over an ancient **Harihar temple**, while the Muslim side aims to present evidence asserting the site is the **Jama Masjid**.
Tensions have been escalated in **Sambhal** since a court-ordered survey began on **November 19**, with subsequent violence leading to four deaths.
Current unrest includes incidents of stone-pelting and clashes between **protesters and security forces** during the survey.
