A group dedicated to exposing criminal behavior informed the Irvine Police Department about the communications with Zuercher.
Authorities reported that the messages turned sexual in nature, with Zuercher expressing interest in meeting the supposed minor.
After confronting him at his home, police arrested Zuercher on charges related to attempting to engage in sexual activity with a minor.
