Israel's Defence Ministry has signed contracts amounting to approximately $275 million with Elbit, its largest private arms manufacturer.
The agreements aim to enhance the Israel Defence Force's operational capabilities by allowing the domestic production of heavy bombs and raw materials.
One deal includes the supply of thousands of heavy air munitions, while another involves establishing a plant for domestic raw material production.
The push for manufacturing independence was accelerated due to lessons learned from the ongoing war in Gaza.
Elbit's CEO stated that the company is dedicated to bolstering the IDF's munitions independence.
